Privacy Notice

Capturing Investments (Pty) Ltd, trading as Content Cloud, is the responsible party (data controller) for the personal information described here. This notice explains what we collect, why, and what rights you have.

What we collect and why

• Account details — name or studio name, email address and login credentials, so we can create and secure your account. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Studio content — the photos, videos, client names and client email addresses you upload or enter, so we can host and deliver your galleries. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
• Gallery activity — when a gallery is viewed and which items are favourited, together with an anonymous visitor identifier, so studios can see how clients engaged. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in providing useful delivery statistics.
• Technical data — IP address, device and usage information collected for security, fraud prevention and improving the product. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
• Support messages — what you send us when you ask for help. Legal basis: legitimate interests.

Who we share it with

• Service providers who host and operate the platform on our behalf.
• Paddle.com, our Merchant of Record, for sale of subscriptions, payments, subscription management, tax compliance and invoicing.
• Professional advisers such as accountants and lawyers, where needed.
• Authorities, where we are required to by law.

We do not sell personal information.

International transfers

Our providers may process data outside South Africa. Where that happens we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as standard contractual clauses or an equivalent legal mechanism.

How long we keep it

We keep account and studio content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your galleries and uploaded files are deleted. We retain limited records where the law requires it — for example invoicing records — and otherwise delete or anonymise information once it is no longer needed.

Your rights

Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, and the GDPR where it applies, you can ask to access, correct or delete your information, object to or restrict processing, request a portable copy, and withdraw consent where we rely on it. We respond within one month. You may also complain to the Information Regulator of South Africa, or your local supervisory authority.

Security

We use appropriate technical and organisational measures, including encryption in transit, access controls and private, signed links for gallery files.

Cookies

We use essential cookies and similar browser storage to keep you signed in, to remember gallery access, and to avoid counting the same visit twice. We do not use advertising cookies. You can clear or block cookies in your browser, though signing in will not work without the essential ones.
